Our Story

Brought together by music, one note at a time.

  1. Josh and Deborah walking toward the Bulacan State University gate

    2016

    A Violin at the Gate

It began the way the best stories do — with music. Josh first saw Deborah at the entrance of Bulacan State University, a violin cradled in her arms, and something in him went quiet and certain all at once. When they finally met, in the practice room of Clair de Lune, they realized they'd belonged to the same musical family all along. Two people, brought together by the thing they loved most. The friendship started that very day, tuned to the same key.

  2. The Bulacan State University gate

    2017

    Different Campuses, Same Song

Life pulled them in different directions. Josh moved to BSU's main campus, and the everyday rhythm of crossing paths faded into the occasional message. They stayed friends — the way a favorite melody stays with you — even as the years grew quiet between them.

  3. 2021

    The Message That Waited

Josh reached out with a simple ask: piano lessons. The message sat there, unanswered. In hindsight, the timing just wasn't ready for them yet — the universe was still warming up.

  4. 2022

    The Add That Rewrote Everything

Dreaming of reopening her music school, Deborah added Josh on Facebook — thinking, perhaps, that he'd make a fine piano student. She was right about the piano. She just didn't know yet that the lessons would turn into something neither of them could have scored in advance. They fell in love. And still, stubbornly and sweetly, kept calling themselves 'just friends.'

  5. June 23, 2023

    Yes, In a Doctor's Clinic

It happened in the most unglamorous, most them place imaginable: a doctor's clinic. That was the day they finally, officially became each other's. They'd waited weeks, wanting to tell their parents first — but the courage never quite arrived on time. So they kept their little secret glowing quietly, just the two of them, for a while longer.

  6. Deborah showing off her engagement ring after the proposal in Clark, Pampanga

    December 26, 2025

    The Question in Clark

The day after Christmas, in Clark, Pampanga, Josh finally asked the question he'd been carrying for years. She said yes. Of course she said yes.

  7. Josh and Deborah in wedding attire, hand in hand

    October 10, 2026

The Part Where You Come In

Which brings us here — to the day two musicians who met over a violin and a practice room finally play the biggest note of their lives. And this time, the story doesn't belong to just the two of them. It belongs to you, too. Because a love story this long in the making deserves the people who shaped it, right there in the room, when the final chord rings out.
